The AS365 N3+ is a member of Airbus Helicopters' medium weight Dauphin family of helicopters. Some 825 twin-engine Dauphins have been delivered for civil use in more than 60 countries with nearly 200 operators. Together these helicopters have accumulated around 5.5 million flight hours.
The H155 benefits from Airbus Helicopter’s advanced, proven rotor technology, providing the lowest vibration and sound signature in its class. Its distinctive design – from the refined nose to its rear “dorsal fin” – clearly distinguishes the H155 as a member of the renowned Dauphin family.
Its Spheriflex® main rotor head delivers a smooth ride – even at high speed – along with excellent handling qualities and in-flight stability. The high-efficiency profile of its all-composite five blade main rotor allow greater lift and speed.
With the shrouded Fenestron® tail rotor, the H155 benefits from a low sound signature and low maintenance. The shrouded rotor concept delivers additional control while increasing safety during ground operations, especially in confined areas.
The H160 opens a new chapter in the history of Airbus Helicopters. Joining the product range between the H145 (formerly EC145) and the H175 (formerly EC175), this innovative medium helicopter becomes the first new member of the H generation. The entire design was based on one overriding goal: to create added value for customers in terms of performance, economic competitiveness, safety and comfort. Both cleaner and quieter, the H160 takes a step forward in respect for the environment. Configurations being developed include offshore transportation, business and private aviation, public services, and commercial passenger transport. The H160 was unveiled at the Heli-Expo trade show in March 2015.
